I'll be brutally honest in saying that I was massively disappointed with this show in every way. The opener and the YLC defense were both good, if a little disappointing, but the rest of the show did nothing for me whatsoever. I liked the comedy in the tag tournament match but it felt like 2 minutes of gags stretched to fill what felt like 20 minutes of match time, The two matches after intermission were awful, the 4 way looked more like a training session than a match and the battle of the big men wasn't much chop either. The main was fun i'spose, but it felt like i'd seen it a million times before over the last few years. I might do a review in time, but yeah, considering how good Campbelltown shows usually are and the promise shown at NYR and the previous Catho show this year, I can't help but feel underwhelmed with tonights show.

What is with Campbelltown? Waxhead does a springboard shooting star onto 3 guys to the outside and you can still hear a pin drop!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLATINUM PLAYERS DON'T LOSE!!! NEVER! EVER! Excuse me gentlemen i now must cry. Dude, Mark Hilton and TNT are 2 of AWF's greatest wrestlers. And Massive Q is well.....Massive. He's the biggest guy in that match. Then again JT's beaten him twice.

What is with Campbelltown? Waxhead does a springboard shooting star onto 3 guys to the outside and you can still hear a pin drop!! Possible because they were all faces and it seemed to look like spot after spot in sequence. Hehe.... still good though

There wasn't any reason to cheer, the bulk of the people making noise in the crowd were little kids and drunk people, the match wasn't really suited to getting a reaction from them. The crowd reacted well to the standard good guy vs bad guy formula, this match was doomed a) due to it being a battle of 4 babyfaces, so there was no real reason to care who won or who lost and b) it was basically a training session in front of a live crowd, two guys do moves the other two stand around, really contrived looking spot here, really fake looking spot there, rinse and repeat. Same with the battle of the big men, even the kids were quiet except for the half a dozen or so calling Lebo an arsehole, there was just no reason to care.

To add a bit of positivity though, this is what I liked last night....
- I like the video screens and the light set up, if everybody can get proper entrances like TNT and co did in the main then that'd be great.
- Cognito is far and away the best wrestler in AWF now, his wrestling has always been good, dating back to the Carnival days, but his personality and crowd interaction since his heel turn has been brilliant.
- The tag match had it's moments. I'm still not a fan of his wrestling, but Zander is a really good promo guy and he and Toxin make an amusing team, same for Flyswat and X. The problem with this match IMO was that it dragged way too long, seriously it felt like a decent 8-10 minute match stretched to about 20.
- Theo vs Captain was good, Captain has always been underrated and Theo is really good too. Just went too long IMO, cut 5 minutes of fat off it and it goes from being good to being great.
- Main event was fun if very predictable and the Platinum Players are entertaining, just seems like it's been seen a million times before.
My 2 cents worth/

theo vs captain was the best match of the night in my opinion....kinda like a tyson gibbs vs brett brady kind of match in iwa....
weird that theo in some way looks like brett brady and captain in some aspects looks like captain....also theo doing some great german suplexes...as does brett brady...hmmmm....also seeing captain hit a frog splash which Tyson does in his matches....
prob just a coinsadence, heh
