Okay... You guys are all entitled to your opinions here. However. Instead of being pessimistic, negative pricks. How about some constructive criticism?
I just love the way you (prepubescent or fat or ugly or "know it all" or combination of the afforementioned) smarks shit all over everyone and anything you can. If you ever stepped in the ring you'd understand why wrestlers would be out of breath after a match or you'd understand how much taking moves actually hurts. But that's exactly why you are fans and NOT wrestlers. Because you could NEVER do what gets done in the ring.
So grow a pair and say this to the face of any one of the workers. Instead of sitting behind your computer and bitching about stuff you think you understand but never everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, will.
ALSO!! Swearing will not be tolerated... You have been warned. I will just start banning people for violations of this request.

Aussies say Gridiron Football is for pansies who wear pads and helmets. I'd join along with them I'd ever played it and experienced what it's like. But I haven't so I'll keep my mouth shut.

Mike with all due respect all of us here (Except for those 3-4 clowns) are all AWF Fans and follow all the rules. I think all of us respect the wrestlers putting there bodys on the line for us and enjoy the product.
I aplogize if you were just talking to those 3-4 guys and not the majority.

Even though you disagree with some opinions you never get angry and just take continuous shots. You're one of those guys that offer criticism to improve it. Which is quite a good thing to do.

Thanx, as even though i have no involvement with AWF in anyway shape or form besides being a fan to a degree, I really hope it succeeds, even though i highly doubt it. Its funny how a heep of fans could see the problems, but then again John Howarth put the ideas in their head. Do things the way Howarth was sugesting and AWF would be a lot better in my oppinion!

I'm not a smark, at least not as smarky as others out there in internet land. I pay for my tickets like everyone else, and as a fan, as a CONSUMER I didn't like what I saw on Saturday night. Like I've said, it's hard to be optimistic about a product that just plain sucks (can I say sucks? Or would I offend the kiddies?). I've said my reasons; bad gimmicks, plaguerism, poor wrestling, guys that nobody believes could win that end up winning clean, the overall product is poor. Maybe it was just a bad night but I sure as hell wasn't the only one taking the piss on Saturday night.
Everything I say on the internet I'd gladly say to a wrestler IF he had the patience to actually listen to what I had to say and didn't try to cave my face in over a little criticism, no matter how harsh it may be. See instead of just saying "go away smark" or "get a life" to the people that complain, perhaps maybe take into consideration the opinions of others and think "hmmm, maybe that'd work" or "he has a point". Maybe then you'd be seeing something different (shock horror!).
Also I have been in a ring before and taken bumps, yeah it hurts, I never denied that. But that still doesn't give every wrestler in Australia an excuse for having a terrible gimmick or not being able to think up an original finishing move. Or even a regular move and putting their own personal touch on it. I'll give you a list of moves I saw (that I can remember right now) on Saturday night:
Package Piledriver (Kevin Steen). Forgot who used it.
Warrior's Way/Top Rope Foot Stomp (Low-Ki/Senshi). Used by Jay Andrews. He even let out the screech that Low-Ki does when he does it.
Canadian Destroyer/Flip Piledriver (Petey Williams). Again I forget who used it since a lot of these average joe's look the same to me, or maybe I was just asleep when I heard their name.
Senton/Swanton Bomb (Jeff Hardy). Saw this used by Cletus Blood, which by the way is a half reasonable gimmick if done correctly, which it isn't. Anyhoo, while the Senton Bomb wasn't invented by Mr. Hardy, it sure was popularised by him and pretty much whenever someone does it they think Jeff Hardy.
Pele kick (AJ Styles). Saw Mark Hilton do this back at IA2, which is why I called him an AJ ripoff. He botched it too of course.
GORE! GORE! GORE!!!! (Rhino). Powerhouse Theo not only looks like Rhino, but he does Rhino's finishing move. Now I know you're all gonna say "but it's just a spear", which is true. But Rhino (and you might wanna write this down) has taken a simple move like the spear, and put his own twist on it. He does it more like a running shoulder tackle (meaning he leaves his feet) than a spear, to make it look more impactful. For some reason Theo had the same idea in mind and was almost identical. Coincidence?
Unprettier (Christian Cage). Your beloved TNT loves this move. He does it a little differently which I'll give him that, but the only two people who have ever used it is Christian and Kidman, and Chanty now tells me that Candice Michelle does it also, but we all know how unoriginal and untalented she is. So I don't think he could've possibly made that move up himself.
I'm sure there's more, which I may even add. Don't get me started on the lame gimmicks and costumes as well. I know this is meant to be a "family" product but jeez, it's like watching a kid's TV show. Plus, do we really wanna see 10-15 kids running around yelling at the top of their lungs? Not to mention I heard a lot of those kids use the "C" word, which means their upbringing must be progressing very fast. Isn't it time Australian Wrestling did what the rest of the wrestling world is doing and grow some balls? Instead of being a carnival act, it should become a bit more serious and maybe appeal more to a teenage/adult audience. That's how wrestling itself became successful.
I dunno, maybe I'm just full of it, or maybe I'm just a disgruntled fan who wants sauce on his hotdog. I'm not a wrestler, I'm a fan, the consumer. Without wrestling, I'd be fine. Without fans, wrestling wouldn't exist, so I suggest someone take what I say into consideration, because judging from the crowd sizes, I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Also you saw the Melbourne event which I can't comment on. 11 ofthe guys on the card weren't the Sydney based AWF performers.

Maybe not, but like I said Australian Wrestling hasn't exactly grown much in the past 5 years. If anything it's shrunk, so I think a few hundred to a thousand fans, they should take advice from. They're obviously doing something wrong. Most of the guys I saw were still AWF/WSW regulars. Also I still don't see what the big fuss is about TNT. Sure he's one of the few guys to actually see the inside of a gym, but why should I watch him? Why should I care about him?

As I have said before Im happy for anyone who has purchased a ticket to have they say. Its no different to anything that can be chanted at a show.
That said I think its stupid to say someone is copying someone elses gimmick because they are using someone elses sinature move as if that was the case everyone should be paying royalties to whoever invented pro wrestling.
I can look at a few of the moves you have mentioned above and link them back to the 80's. Is Christian Cage stealing Tommy Rodgers gimmick cause he uses the tommy gunn (unprettier)? Is AJ Styles stealing Paul Diamonds gimmick using the spin kick? Is Chris Master a Warlord rip off cause he uses the full nealson.
If someone was coming out wearing red and yellow and using the big boot and leg drop for a finish and then using a flex routine at the end of it or a guy coming out in jean shorts with a baseball hat, a chain around his neck and rapping (Ive seen it done) you might have a cause for guys not being creative.
Outside of that its wrestling and you are always going to have guys that remind you of someone elsewhere who is more popular at the time. There is only two guys that I have seen that have a strong look towards anyone on WWE, both had the gimmicks before WWE started doing them. When WWE started doing them one of them change his look and the other one doesnt work much.
If someone was using someones complete moveset I could see your point but If guys didnt use the same moves as other people most of the guys you mentioned above wouldnt have a career.

I totally agree with Scoop, not to suck up or kiss ass but he speaks the truth.
I haven't all of a sudden jumped boat and agreed with scoop, but what he said is what i have felt the same way about wrestling even form when i matured from a fan that believed to a fan that understood.
