The Australian Wrestling Federation (AWF) comes to The King Tomislav Croatian Club on Friday 3 November with a huge night of pro-wrestling excitement, featuring Australia’s top professional wrestlers.
The AWF will deliver over 2 hours of action packed sports entertainment suitable for all ages in a huge card that will showcase a variety of different matches, fighting styles and characters.
The marquee proceeding for the “Shear Excitement” event will see AWF crowd favourite, TNT, take on long time antagonist The Future Shock. TNT and Future Shock have wrestled for AWF since it’s inception, and have battled many hard fought wars against each other. Recently TNT returned from a successful tour of Japan, and this seemingly was the breaking point for Shock. A jealousy enraged Shock attacked TNT whilst he was closing the AWF School of Pro-Wrestling after a long day of teaching classes, smashing him from behind and slamming his head hard into the glass door and then repeatedly into the ground. Shock pronounced that TNT had always tried to take his spotlight, always got the big breaks and always got in his way for winning titles. Shock screamed it was time to take something from him for all of the mental and physical anguish he had caused, and he said he wanted to take his pride, and shave TNT’s long trademark hair. After spending 3 days (23 – 25 September) in Campbelltown Hospital, TNT discharged himself against doctor’s orders and went straight to AWF matchmakers. Shock had challenged him to the ultimate match of pride, a hair versus hair bout. AWF matchmakers confounded with the situation said that it was difficult to sanction such a bout under these circumstances, but however would make the match due to the events that had lead to it. TNT says he will ready come 3 November, and he can’t wait to get his revenge by shaving the fat head of the Future Shock.
In the AWF Championship Bout, Steve Ravenous will take on the challenge of Jay Law. Both of these men pack powerful offence, and are young athletes that represent the future of the AWF. Law recently lost his Young Lion’s Championship, and feels this is the progression that fate has led him to take, by challenging for the AWF Title. Jay claims that the Law will be served and AWF will have a new champion to be proud of again at the Tom Club. Champion Steve Ravenous says that Law’s claims are corrupt, and that once it is all said and done, “The Champ” will still be the champ.
In addition, as part of the proceedings for the Shear Excitement event current AWF Young Lion’s Champion, Scotty Club will look to party off the onslaught of the brutal Powerhouse Theo. The popular Billy Flyswat will battle the vampiric Zander Bathory. The troubled Rick Oshea will wrestle the 165 kg giant Massive Q , plus in a mixed tag team bout Mark Hilton and lady wrestler Shorty will face the team of Kid Dynamite and evil vixen The Webmistress plus more to be announced on the night action.
This is sure to be a blow away debut event packed with surprises galore, so if you are looking for a fun night out be sure to make it along and support the Australian Wrestling Federation for “Shear Excitement at The Tom Club”. We advise to book early to avoid disappointment as recent AWF events have been turn away sell outs. Tickets on sale now at the club.
